FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long are the appointments?

Most sessions are approximately 1 hour.

How often should I go to therapy?

Most conditions typically require therapy 2-3 times per week.

What does the therapy involve?
All patients receive an individualized treatment program based on the findings of our evaluation. Treatments typically consist of exercises to help restore normal movement and strength and frequently manual techniques by the therapist to help facilitate and reinforce proper movements and mechanics.

What should I expect during my first visit?
The first session involves a brief interview to review your history, a biomechanical evaluation to determine the quality of your movement and an initial treatment.

What do I need to bring the first time?
You need to bring a current prescription from your referring doctor, your insurance card (if applicable), and appropriate clothing; shorts and sneakers for lower body and back injuries; short-sleeve tee shirt for upper body injuries.

Do you treat only athletes?

Yes, we focus on competitive athletes from middle school to the professional level.

Do you offer performance enhancement or injury prevention programs?
Yes. We specialize in the training of athletes to maximize their performance and minimize their risk of injury. Our programs are designed to be specific to their sports and positions.

Why don’t you participate with insurance plans?
Network insurance plans require a higher volume of patients than we feel is appropriate to provide quality care. Not participating enables us to better attend to our patients and properly supervise their exercise programs.
